Waiting On Wednesday {6}

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine,
which spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating!

I Can’t-Wait-To-Read

Talon by Julie Kagawa                                                  Expected Publication date: October 28th 2014 Synopsis from Goodreads:

Long ago, dragons were hunted to near extinction by the Order of St. George, aTalon (Talon, #1) legendary society of dragon slayers. Hiding in human form and growing their numbers in secret, the dragons of Talon have become strong and cunning, and they’re positioned to take over the world with humans none the wiser.

Ember and Dante Hill are the only sister and brother known to dragonkind. Trained to infiltrate society, Ember wants to live the teen experience and enjoy a summer of freedom before taking her destined place in Talon. But destiny is a matter of perspective, and a rogue dragon will soon challenge everything Ember has been taught. As Ember struggles to accept her future, she and her brother are hunted by the Order of St. George.

Soldier Garret Xavier Sebastian has a mission to seek and destroy all dragons, and Talon’s newest recruits in particular. But he cannot kill unless he is certain he has found his prey: and nothing is certain about Ember Hill. Faced with Ember’s bravery, confidence and all-too-human desires, Garret begins to question everything that the Order has ingrained in him: and what he might be willing to give up to find the truth about dragons.

Why am I excited?

Dragons! Oh and by Julie Kagawa that’s a bonus. And just look at this cover, instead of a cheesy dragon head it instead chose to show off the beauty of a dragon’s scales. Also this seems a lot like a favourite dragon book of mine Seraphina by Rachel Hartman so I know I will love this one just by reading the premise. And, I don’t have to wait till October, I am expecting an arc in the mail any day now and if I do love this book, I will for sure go and buy it once it comes out.

What’s your Waiting on Wednesday? And what do you think of mine?

      I’ve only read her Iron Fey series and I really had enjoyed it. This one sounds like a good dragon book just by the cover so hopefully you’ll like it.

    I have loved most of Julie Kagawa’s books and I was really excited about this book until a friend of mine who went to BEA told me that there’s going to be a love triangle and I’m really not a fan of those, especially in a series as long as this is going to be.
    I hope you’ll love it when it comes out though! 🙂

      I never finished her Iron Fey (still have one more book) and I haven’t read the Immortal Rules either, but from the previous books I’ve read I know this one should be good!
